So what is Sexting?

Sexting is the sharing of sexually explicit images, videos, or messages
through electronic means.

Are there legal consequences?

Not only can sexting have negative personal consequences for the children involved (both the senders and receivers), it can also have serious legal consequences. In many states, minors involved in the exchange of sexually explicit material, even if consensual, could face charges for child pornography, including registration on the Sex Offender Registry.

Having technology always at their fingertips means that being an adolescent today is different than it was for their adults. A study found that 95% of teens access to a smartphone with 45% online almost constantly.
